How Long Can Tribe Last?

Well I am fed up with Tribe, as anyone who knows me will know I have a habit of logging on, or attempting to log on, at the precise moment that Tribe is donutting down and these last two weeks have been no different. I come on Tribe for some fun and chat with the community, not to get stressed. So I'm real pleased you set this up Michael and I hope a lot of people come here and then that community can be over here instead :)

Misery!

Actually I understand what you mean, it's been a nightmare lately. I won't actually leave Tribe just yet (as I'm sure you won't either) but I do like the idea of having in place.

I was also having donut issues all the time...then I stopped logging on as often, but still was met with that annoying message more often than not. Hopefully, with a little time, we can make this the new and improved "Tribe".

Who thought up that idiotic 'Donut Freakout'.
What an asinine thing to find staring you in the face.
I'd rather eat a bug than see that.

I'm hanging on to Tribe simply because I have so much time invested there.
And I've met some wonderfull people, along with the jerks.

MySpace can go pee up a rope.

There's a new tribe: "Failed To Open Page" - not that many people have posted to it yet, though. Just this one: " the server unexpectedly dropped the connection, which sometimes occurs when the server is busy. You might be able to open the page later."

Weird but I guess friendly enough.

Well, I think I belong to to many social places and I need to cut down because I can't really tell what is going on with whom or what.

That has nothing to do with what you posted. I need to get focused. Duh.

So, they institute a premium service that you pay for, and claimed they were using the money to eliminate these problems. But despite getting thousands of dollars in handouts from the most addicted members who were desperate to not lose their daily tribe.net fix to Tribe.net's apparent financial insolvency, the technical problems continue.

What are they doing with the money, then? Ponzi scheme?

It's a joke. Paid subscriptions to a social networking site when other sites offering the same service are free. From a business standpoint, the company is a complete failure. It's only real value was its technological platform, which it sold off to Cisco. Now all that is left is a marginal, regionally oriented network kept alive only because a core group of about a 1000 people don't want to lose contact with the friends they made there.
