I am so confused with this ning thing! Ivy had invited me to another tribe alternative group here called "tribe refugees". The two don't synch up at all. Now I have two profile pages, two groups of friends...etc. etc. I don't suppose there's any way to combine them?

Well, whatever it is, I'm glad I'm here, and with any luck we will get more members and get this thing going!!

This is what confused Sarah so much the first time she joined so she gave up!! LOL! Basically you need to think of extribers as one social network, like tribe and tribe refugees as another, like facebook. The two use the same system and share the same point of origin but other than that they are very different. This can be awkward if you wish to join many Ning networks but if you limit yourself to the ones you really want then it gets easier. Does this make sense? My English is not perfect and I know sometimes I confuse people even more! :)

I had so much trouble with Ning at first, I created a profile and made it all pretty and such, you know the important stuff, and then I joined another network and my profile was blank. So I stormed off in a huff, I have to admit I was playing with Ning in a "do not want" kind of air-typewriter way at first but now I understand it I actually quite like it!

You can add music to your profile, that's the best thing I think. And you can add so many different designs to your profile as well. It's pretty cool. We'll all figure it out together :)

I think its getting my profile the way I'd like it that is the most challenging. No, the features are not the same as on Tribe, and I think that is what's throwing me off. I've stared at my profile page on Tribe for 2 years, and here its just very different. It will take some getting used to I think. I'd actually like to be able to switch around the modules to my personal preferences, but I haven't figured out how.

Oddly enough I just looked at my Tribe profile for the first time in months, I actually had no idea what it looked like!

I've had a hard time with the profile here, but have not spend much time on in. It's not the same as tribe, but maybe more reliable?

The other problem I am seeing is there are different groups of tribe people all creating seperate netowrks on this site. I now belong to 2 of them and it makes it hard to follow. I wish tribe people got together to form 1 and then have it managed through the 1 network. It will be hard for people to fine each other unless they run into a certain network.

Yup, Wild Child...that was my point in my "Humph" thread. I also belong to both groups and its just very confusing!
